Residents that are United States citizens and 18 years of age or older are encouraged to exercise the right to vote. Voter registration forms are available at the Municipal Building, the Dauphin County Courthouse, and the Department of Transportation. Registered voters that have not been a resident in their election district at least 30 days preceding the election may vote in their old election district. Registered voters may use an absentee ballot if they will be absent from the county, are ill or incapacitated. Absentee ballot applications are available at the Municipal
Building and must be applied for up to 60 days in advance of the election, but no less than seven days before Election Day.
Absentee ballots must be received by the Department of Elections Office by 5:00 p.m. the Friday prior to the election. Please call the Dauphin County Election Bureau Office at 255-2793 for further information.
