SHADE TREE ORDINANCE

The Shade Tree Ordinance specifies the location of the tree(s) between the curb and sidewalk (tree lawn) in relation to intersections, signs, and streetlights. The ordinance also specifies the height of branches over streets, sidewalks and varieties to be planted. The ordinance requires that a Tree Permit (no charge) be received from the Public Works Department prior to planting or removing the tree(s) in the tree lawn.
