SHADE TREE ORDINANCE
The Shade Tree Ordinance specifies the location of the tree(s) between the curb and sidewalk (tree lawn) in relation to intersections, signs, and streetlights. The ordinance also specifies the height of branches over streets and sidewalks, and planting varieties. The ordinance requires that a Tree Permit Application (no charge; see link below for the form) be received from the Public Works Department before planting or removing the tree(s) in the tree lawn.
