Derry Township Public Works Department – Full-Time, Assistant Director
The Township of Derry Public Works Department is currently accepting applications for the Assistant Director position. The Assistant Director oversees the operation of the Township’s parks and develops and implements park maintenance and improvements. Assist(s) the Public Works Director with planning, design, and modification to infrastructure and direct(s) operations in the absence of the Director. Derry Township Community Center – Part-Time, Basketball Referee
The Derry Township Parks and Recreation is seeking to hire a Part-Time, certified and experienced Basketball Referee(s) to officiate our 18+ co-ed basketball leagues. This position requires strong knowledge of the game, excellent decision-making skills, and the ability to maintain control and fairness during competitive play in a co-ed environment. Each game will have two referees to ensure smooth and accurate officiating.
Looking for candidates to work mainly work Wednesday evenings (5:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. – 5 games) and Saturday mornings (7:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. – 6 games).
Clearances and certifications must be obtained prior to the beginning of employment; see requirements outlined in the description.

Derry Township Community Center – Full-Time, Facility Operator
The Derry Township Parks and Recreation is seeking to hire a Permanent, Full-Time Facility Operator for the Derry Township Community Center. The role involves skilled maintenance work to plan, operate, repair, and maintain facilities, including three pools, two water slides, and a splash pad. The Facility Operator works under the supervision of the Assistant Director, prioritizing tasks, ensuring compliance with state pool regulations, and maintaining the Derry Township Community Center and its grounds. The position also involves proactive problem-solving, scheduling maintenance, and addressing potential issues prior to causing disruption within the facility.
